If you’re like me and don’t enjoy spending hours planning, but still want to soak up all of Bali’s beauty, I highly recommend adding Klook day tours to your itinerary! On this 7-day, 6-night Bali free & easy trip, we booked three Klook day tours (on Day 2, Day 4, and Day 6), and each one was both relaxing and amazing. It was the ultimate ‘sleep on the bus, snap photos at stops’ experience, and I want to share it with anyone who wants to explore Bali the easy way ❤️
This trip was effortlessly planned, letting us enjoy Bali’s resort vibe while exploring famous spots, hidden gems, and culture. I have to say: Klook is a lifesaver for independent travelers!

🛬 Day 1: Arrive in Bali, Switch to Chill Mode!
After landing at Ngurah Rai Airport, we took our pre-booked airport transfer to a hotel in Sanur on Bali’s east coast. Sanur is a tranquil seaside town in southeastern Bali, known for its laid-back vibe and slow pace of life – a top choice for families and long-stay travelers. It boasts a long beachfront promenade and sunrise beaches, perfect for morning walks, cycling, and swimming. Unlike bustling Kuta, Sanur has a relaxing, elegant charm.
We stayed at Griya Santrian, a resort right on the beachfront. Just a few steps from the pool and you’re on the sand – ideal for water lovers and beach bums. The architecture retains traditional Balinese style, with serene garden views. The hotel also offers SPA, yoga classes, and a sea-view restaurant, perfect for travelers wanting to soak up the ‘slow living’ charm of Sanur.

📸 Day 2: Klook’s ‘Bali East Instagram-Worthy Tour’ 🌋🌴
Today’s highlight is Klook’s [Bali East Instagram-Worthy Day Tour], our first Klook experience on this trip. It only takes two people to form a group, and the best part is you can choose a Chinese-speaking guide—perfect for first-timers like us who want to dive deeper into the culture!
We departed from the hotel promptly at 7:30 AM. The private pickup was super convenient—we just dozed off along the way and woke up at the attractions. Our first stop was the iconic Lempuyang Temple, also known as the ‘Gates of Heaven.’ We captured the classic symmetrical mirror reflection shots, which were absolutely dreamy! 📷⛩️ Our Chinese-speaking guide also explained the sacred origins of the temple, allowing us to understand the local religious culture beyond just taking photos.
Next, we headed to Swing Heaven, which isn’t just about swinging—there are multiple photo spots to capture stunning Instagram-worthy shots! 🌺 After snapping photos, the guide helped us find the best angles, showcasing top-notch photography skills!
At noon, we arrived at the spiritually charged Tirta Gangga Water Palace, originally a royal bathing site. The pools were teeming with koi fish, and we could buy feed to toss in or stroll across the stepping stones—it was so much fun! 🐟💦
Then we arrived at the magnificent Taman Ujung Water Palace, a less crowded spot with a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for quietly admiring the blend of architecture and water.
The last stop was my favorite Virgin Beach, a hidden gem far from the hustle and bustle, with crystal-clear water and white sand. With few locals around, it’s ideal for unwinding, sunbathing, and sipping coconut water 🌞🥥.

We headed back around 5:30 PM. The whole day was packed but unhurried—no need to navigate or worry about transportation, super hassle-free!

Tips:
Before you go, remember to download WhatsApp—Klook’s local operators will contact you through it to confirm pickup times and other details. Very convenient!
🌿 Day 3: Half-Day Free Time in Ubud + Spa Time
After sleeping in today, we checked out from Sanur and headed to the Ubud Market for a stroll. We had Ubud’s famous crispy roast pork rice, then enjoyed a 90-minute Balinese aromatherapy massage at a spa.
Ubud is the cultural heart of Bali, surrounded by rice paddies, forests, and traditional villages—an ideal destination for those seeking nature, art, and spiritual experiences. Here, you can join yoga classes, visit artisan villages, immerse yourself in Balinese temple culture, and unwind at one of the many high-quality villas.
How could you visit Bali without enjoying a villa!? We stayed at Ayuterra Resort, a villa that made it impossible to leave the pool 🏞️. The room was stylish and spacious, with a private outdoor infinity pool overlooking the Ayung River gorge—every moment felt like a postcard 📸. Soaking in the pool under the stars at night and waking up to birdsong in the morning was the most relaxing and romantic part of my Ubud trip ❤️. Highly recommended for honeymoons or celebrating special occasions as a couple!

🌿 Day 4: Klook “Private Day Tour of Ubud’s Top Attractions” | Culture and Nature All-In-One, Unlock the Best of Ubud in a Day!
On this day, we booked the [Private Day Tour of Ubud’s Top Attractions] on Klook, which also offers a Chinese-speaking guide option. However, this time we were accompanied by an amazing English-speaking driver, Yogi, who took us through the entire itinerary. He was incredibly patient and helped us plan the most efficient route to avoid crowds, and he had already taken care of all the parking fees at each stop—no extra charges needed. Truly thoughtful!
We departed from the hotel at 08:30 AM, and our first stop was the stunning UNESCO World Heritage rice terraces—Tegallalang Rice Terraces. The layered paddies looked like green waves, and the scenery was absolutely breathtaking. No matter where you stood, every photo turned out like a dreamy postcard! 🌾📷

Next, we experienced Ubud’s classic swing. The moment we swung out was both thrilling and fun, with the lush tropical rainforest and valley below—it felt like flying through a movie scene!

Our third stop was the Ubud Monkey Forest, a natural habitat for Balinese long-tailed macaques. The monkeys were lively and curious, but don’t worry—as long as you don’t feed or provoke them, there’s basically no danger. Our guide even taught us how to keep a safe distance from the monkeys. It was a unique and fun experience 🐒🌳
At lunchtime, our driver Yogi picked a restaurant with an incredible view—we enjoyed rice field scenery while eating, and the atmosphere was perfect (thanks to his flawless arrangement!)
After lunch, we headed to Tirta Empul Holy Water Temple, a spot I was really looking forward to. The sacred spring water in the temple is said to have the power to purify the soul, and many local devotees and tourists enter the pools to receive the cleansing blessings one by one. Although I didn’t go into the water, sitting quietly nearby and watching this scene of devotion naturally calmed my heart 🙏💧

Our last stop was Ubud’s popular waterfall—Tegenungan Waterfall. This waterfall is truly spectacular, with thunderous water sounds and a stunning scene. However, there were quite a lot of tourists, and many people were playing in the water and taking photos, so I felt it was a bit commercialized and didn’t stay long. It really depends on personal preference~

We returned to the hotel around 5:00 PM. This nearly 10-hour trip was fulfilling without being exhausting. Special thanks to our driver Yogi, who was super nice—not only did he plan the itinerary well, but he also helped us avoid peak crowds. He’s truly worth recommending!
If you’re planning a trip to Ubud, this day tour is definitely a great way to quickly get to know this cultural town, especially for those who don’t like driving themselves and want to take plenty of photos 📸💛

Its breakfast buffet, often hailed as the ‘best in Bali,’ is a standout—boasting an incredible variety and quality that makes every morning feel like a food festival. The resort itself is sprawling, with multiple pools, a kids’ club, and a spa. 🔥 Day 6: Uluwatu Cliff Kecak Fire Dance & Suluban Secret Beach Private Tour – A Stunning Journey for the Senses and Soul!
Today, we chose the [Uluwatu Cliff Temple Kecak Fire Dance & Suluban Beach Private Tour], which offers a Chinese-speaking guide option. Our driver and guide for this trip was the incredibly cool Mr. Tawan! He’s both passionate and street-smart, deeply familiar with the history and culture of each stop. Whether explaining the meaning of the Kecak dance, the architecture of Uluwatu Temple, or the formation of the beach, he provided rich and insightful commentary. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 This journey was made even more complete because of him!
⛱️ 09:00 Depart → 11:00 Padang Padang Beach
Our first stop is a hidden gem beach—Padang Padang Beach. Surrounded by lush rock walls, you have to squeeze through a narrow crevice to reach it, giving it a real sense of adventure! The beach is small but boasts fine white sand and crystal-clear blue water, making it a perfect spot for swimming and snapping photos 🌊📸
🍴 12:30 Lunch Time
We chose our own lunch spot, and Tawan thoughtfully recommended a restaurant with ocean views. Enjoying grilled fish with coconut water while watching surfers ride the waves was pure bliss—so chill~
🏝️ 14:00 Blue Point Beach (Suluban Beach)
Next, we headed to Suluban Beach, also known as “Blue Point Beach,” a secret paradise for many surfers. This beach is surrounded by massive rock caves, and at low tide, you can walk into the caves and explore small tidal pools. It feels mysterious and adventurous—like discovering a “grown-up’s secret hideout” 🏄♂️
🛕 16:30 Uluwatu Temple
Perched on a cliff, this ancient temple is not only one of Bali’s six holiest temples but also offers a stunning vantage point over the Indian Ocean. The monkeys here are playful and cheeky—be sure to secure your belongings (watch out for sunglasses and hats!). With our guide, we learned about the history and spiritual significance of Uluwatu Temple, gaining a deeper appreciation for the locals’ reverence for nature and the divine.

🔥 18:00 Kecak Dance Performance (Highlight: Skip-the-line entry!)
This performance was truly one of the highlights of our trip! The Kecak dance relies on no instruments—instead, dozens of bare-chested men create an atmosphere with the rhythmic chant of ‘chak-chak-chak,’ while performers dance with fire and engage the audience, bringing the classic scenes of the Indian epic Ramayana to life on stage! The show begins at sunset, ending with bursts of flames and cheers from the crowd—an absolutely electrifying vibe 🔥🔥🔥

(This tour includes skip-the-line entry, saving us tons of waiting time—highly recommend this perk!)

Reluctantly packing my bags, ready to return to the real world. I truly recommend it to travelers who don’t want to worry about planning and still want to see it all.
Day Tour FAQ
1. Q: How many people are needed to form a group for private guided tours on Klook?
A: Yes! Most private guided tours on Klook require just 2 people to start, no group joining, and even solo travel is fine—no need to worry about gathering a group. Whether you’re a couple, friends, or a family, you can easily enjoy a private driver and guide, with more flexible itineraries.
2. Q: Can I choose a Chinese-speaking guide?
A: Some tours offer a Chinese-speaking guide option; please pay special attention to the “Language” field when booking. If a Chinese-speaking guide isn’t available, English-speaking guides or local drivers are usually provided. You can also contact the local driver in advance via WhatsApp to discuss your needs.
3. Q: Are entrance fees, lunch, or parking fees included in the itinerary?
A: It varies slightly with each itinerary. Some tours include entrance fees and lunch, but most will specify ‘meals at your own expense’ or ‘entrance fees not included.’ For example, our Ubud day trip requires no additional parking fees at any of the stops, but lunch is at your own cost. We recommend reading the details carefully before departure or contacting customer service for clarification.
Entrance fees for these attractions can fluctuate with peak seasons, so it’s a good idea to check the latest reference prices on the Bali Entrance Fee Price List before you go.
4. Q: Will the driver accompany us into the attractions?
A: Yes! Most tours are ‘guided private car charter’ style, where the driver will accompany you into the attractions to explain, take photos, and assist with ticket purchases. However, if you choose the English-speaking driver option, you may explore some attractions on your own.
5. Q: Can the itinerary be customized? Can we change the route midway?
A: In principle, no, but some private itineraries offer more flexibility. You can ask customer service or the driver in advance if minor adjustments are possible (such as swapping a specific attraction or extending the stay time), but this depends on the day’s traffic and time availability.
6. Q: If we’re staying in different areas, like Ubud or Jimbaran, can we still be picked up?
A: Yes, but the pickup range and fees may vary depending on the area. Most tours offer ‘free pickup’ in areas like Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, and Ubud, while other areas may require an additional fee or need confirmation on availability.
7. Q: Will the day trip feel very rushed?
A: Most Klook tours have a ‘moderate pace,’ lasting about 8–10 hours a day. Although many attractions are included, private tours don’t feel rushed, and the driver can adjust the route to avoid crowds. For example, we arrived early before the Kecak fire dance performance and didn’t have to queue for entry—it was a huge plus!
8. Q: Do I need to bring cash?
A: It’s highly recommended to bring some Indonesian Rupiah in cash. While some attractions and restaurants accept cards, places like the Ubud traditional market, fire dance tickets, and temple donations still require cash.
9. Q: Will there be traffic jams? Is time reserved for that?
A: Bali’s peak traffic can be congested, but Klook drivers usually avoid busy times or adjust the route order to bypass jams.
10. Q: How do I contact the driver or guide?
A: Before the trip, Klook provides the driver’s contact info. It’s recommended to download WhatsApp, the most common communication tool in Bali, to confirm pickup times, guide language, etc.
11. Q: Are there more day trips to choose from?
A: Klook offers over 100 Bali day trips. It’s best to pick one with high ratings based on your accommodation area.
