## 🌊 Coastal Flooding Alert for Bali! High Tides Expected from November 8 to 11

The Bali Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BBMKG) issued a warning on November 6 that from November 8 to 11, some coastal areas of Bali may experience high tides and coastal flooding (Rob).

This phenomenon is linked to astronomical tides during the new moon, with sea levels in southern waters expected to rise further on November 9, the day of the new moon.

Affected areas may include:

- Southern coast of Jembrana

- Southern coast of Tabanan

- Badung Regency coastline

- Denpasar coastline

- Gianyar coastal area

- Southern Klungkung coastal area

Meteorological authorities warn that high tides may affect coastal residents’ daily life, port operations, and maritime activities.

For travelers, if you have beach trips, water activities, or speedboat transfers planned in the near future, it’s recommended to check the latest tide and sea conditions before departure, especially in the southern coastal areas.

## 💧 South Bali Water Supply Issues Persist! Badung Regency Government Plans IDR 150 Billion for Pipe Network Improvements

As tourism, hotels, and accommodation developments continue to expand in South Bali, concerns over insufficient clean water supply have resurfaced.

The Badung Regency government stated that due to terrain and raw water supply limitations in the southern region, the current water supply capacity is struggling to fully meet growing demand.

To address the water supply issue, the Badung Regency government plans to allocate a capital budget of IDR 150 billion by 2029 to accelerate the construction of clean water pipeline networks.

Regent I Wayan Adi Arnawa said that South Bali is a key concentration area for accommodation and tourism in Badung Regency, and the government must strengthen clean water supply capacity.

This issue not only affects local residents but is also closely tied to the long-term development of hotels, villas, and the tourism industry.

For travel to Bali, traffic congestion and water supply are infrastructure issues that have gained increasing attention in recent years.

## 📊 Bali’s International Tourist Numbers Drop Slightly by 1.15%! PHRI Still Optimistic About 7 Million Target for the Year

According to the latest data from the Bali Statistics Agency (BPS), from January to September 2026, the cumulative number of international tourists arriving directly in Bali reached 5,237,128, a decrease of 1.15% compared to the same period last year.

Despite the slight decline in tourist numbers, the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) Bali chapter remains optimistic about reaching the target of 7 million international tourists for the full year of 2026.

The current top source countries are as follows:

- Australia: 1,303,734 arrivals

- China: 456,046 arrivals

- India: 394,155 arrivals

- United Kingdom: 230,010 arrivals

- South Korea: 213,072 arrivals

PHRI believes that October to December remains a critical period for boosting annual tourist numbers, with the Australian market expected to continue playing a key role during the peak season at year-end.

However, the association also reminds that the rainy season and westerly winds at the end of the year may bring beach debris issues, making it essential to maintain Bali’s tourism environment and image.
