During our Bali vacation, my travel companion and I wanted to create more lasting memories. Among the many tour options, we decided to book a special experience: the ‘Bali Professional Photographer Day Tour.’ This package not only includes guided visits to attractions but, more importantly, features a professional photographer who follows us throughout the day, using both a camera and a drone to capture every precious moment. For those of us who want stunning photos without missing out on the hands-on experience, this arrangement is absolutely perfect!

Preparations Before Departure
In the days leading up to the tour, we stayed at the Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort—a location that couldn’t be more perfect! Right next door is the fantastic Beachwalk Shopping Center, packed with brand stores and restaurants that kept us entertained for hours. Even better, just across the street is Kuta Beach, where we practiced surfing every day, feeling the thrill of the Indian Ocean waves. In the evenings, we enjoyed stunning sunsets from the beachfront pool. After dark, we strolled through the lively streets, sampling a variety of local and international cuisine. Kuta’s nightlife gave us a taste of Bali’s youthful, vibrant side.

The day before departure, we received a confirmation message from our photographer-guide, Udin, via WhatsApp, detailing the pickup time and location. Since we chose the Bali Professional Photographer Day Tour, which includes both camera and drone photography services, we were filled with anticipation for the upcoming adventure.
The Bali photographer day tour offers three itineraries: East Bali, Ubud & Waterfalls, and North Bali. After discussing with my travel companion, we chose the ‘Ubud & Waterfalls’ route—a choice that let us experience Bali’s most iconic cultural sites and natural beauty.

Start of the Trip - Departing Kuta at 8:00 AM
At eight in the morning, our photographer and guide Udin arrived promptly at our hotel in Kuta to pick us up. This professional photographer not only took photos for us but also served as our guide and driver, making the entire trip more convenient and personalized.
As the car left Kuta, we began our journey to Ubud. The scenery gradually shifted from a coastal city to lush rural landscapes, heightening our excitement for the trip ahead.
First Stop: Ubud Monkey Forest Sanctuary
Upon arriving at the Ubud Monkey Forest, our photographer bought our entrance tickets, which were included in the package service. Stepping into this sacred forest, we were immediately awed by the dense jungle and ancient stone carvings.

Here, the mischievous monkeys became the perfect supporting characters in our photos. The photographer skillfully used professional cameras to capture precious moments of us interacting with them. The ancient temple buildings, surrounded by greenery, looked especially mystical, with every angle offering a perfect backdrop. We spent nearly an hour here.
Second Stop: Tegallalang Rice Terraces
After leaving the Monkey Forest, we headed to the famous Tegallalang Rice Terraces. The photographer again handled the entrance tickets, allowing us to enjoy this green wonder without any worries.

Standing on the viewing platform, the layered rice paddies stretched like green steps to the horizon, leaving us in awe. The photographer used a drone to capture the terraces’ magnificent panorama from various heights and angles. We also strolled through the terraces, letting the photographer capture our natural expressions as we immersed ourselves in this scenic beauty.
Lunchtime
Near the Tegallalang Rice Terraces, we chose a local restaurant for lunch. Although the meal was at our own expense, being able to savor our selected Balinese dishes while taking in the stunning terrace views made it especially meaningful. The photographer also took this chance to show us a glimpse of the morning’s shots.
Third Stop: Tibumana Waterfall
After lunch, we headed to the final stop of the day—Tibumana Waterfall.
It’s a bit of a drive from Ubud, but that’s exactly why you can enjoy a serene, crowd-free experience. After a quick nap in the car, we arrived at the parking lot. Our tour included all entrance fees, so we just followed Udin. Walking along the path through the lush tropical rainforest, the sound of the waterfall grew clearer. Tibumana Waterfall cascaded down like silver threads into the emerald pool below.

Here, the photographer made full use of the drone, capturing the waterfall’s full grandeur from above, while also snapping photos of us posing in front of it. The clear pool reflected our joyful smiles, and every shot was brimming with vibrant energy.

Return Journey: Back to Kuta at 3:00 PM
At 3 PM, we began our journey back to Kuta. In the car, the photographer shared amusing stories from his shoots: ‘Last week, a couple was proposing at the waterfall, and a monkey almost snatched the ring…’
Throughout the trip, the photographer not only professionally captured every precious moment but also, with fluent English, introduced the history and cultural background of each site, turning the journey into more than just sightseeing—it was a deep cultural experience.
